My love of horses started when I was a child and I got my first Pony when I was 14 years old, a palomino Gelding called Pally. I couldn't ride at all and my first experience of this was when I jumped on Pally and he bolted off with me, thankfully I did manage to stay on. I worked with horses from leaving school at Stud Farms and also at hunting stables. When I reached the age of 30 I decided that I wanted to get back into working with horses and I went to Ireland and worked over there at a racing yard for Kevin Prendegast, I also worked at a racing yard in Malton for Mick Fitzgerald which i loved. recently we have just bought two lovely horses...'George' who is a grey dappled shire and 'Billy' who is an ex racehorse, it is great to get back in the saddle again as they do bring such enjoyment to our lives.
'RALPH'
Ralph is a 16.3hh cross shire thoroughbred. He has been used as a hunter for the past 6 seasons. He is fit as a fiddle with the most loving and adorable temperament you could ever wish for in a horse. I am hoping to start some showjumping and dressage with him over the summer months.
'GEORGE'
George is a Grey dappled 8 year old Shire Gelding who is a gentle giant. He is an impressive lad standing at 16.1 hands. Bought for my husband who is starting to learn to ride.
'BILLY'
Billy is a lovely 4 year old Bay gelding thouroughbred and is an ex Racehorse, his racing name was Billy Bowmore he has lovely breeding by Bahamian Bounty - Shaieef with quiet a lot of American lines in him, he has had about 10 runs in his short career, his last race been at Ripon in June 09 were he was placed 6th out of 16. He is a lovely natured lad and is very well bred. He stands about 16 hands and is very fast.
